162 – Is Not About You with Jason Pittman
Our guest today, Jason Pittman, is an active duty US Navy Officer. He has served over 25 years in the submarine force and deployed on five different submarines. From 2015 to 2018, Jason was the Commanding Officer of the USS HELENA, a fast attack submarine.Jason is currently the Commodore of Submarine Squadron SIX in Norfolk, Virginia, where he is responsible for the training, maintenance, and certification of 6 submarines, and over 1,000 sailors.
Jason has a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of Texas. Through his experiences in music and his time in the Navy, he has developed a passion for teaching others and helping them find ways to improve the performance of their team through the understanding of emotion and personal dynamics.
He is married to his amazing wife Victoria and has one delightful daughter, Katherine.
